Mochi lifts its bottle and takes a sip with you. Tap “Done” and it cheers.
Breaks you'll actually take.
Mochi is a little flying genie that lives on your desktop, keeps you company, and gets you to drink water, stretch and rest your eyes — right when you need it.
Drink water, stretch, rest your eyes. Mochi is a tiny flying genie on your Mac desktop that reminds you kindly, at the right moments, and takes the break with you.
The Mac download opens on launch day — you can buy now and download the moment it's out.
Try it: pick a cape, or stroke Mochi's head to pet it.
Pick the cape that suits your desk — you can change it any time in Settings. Every colour is included.
Mochi floats in a transparent window over your work. It never takes focus or gets in your way — your typing and clicks go straight to your apps.
Mochi, his menu and his bubbles are rendered frame by frame by the Mochi Genie app; the Mac around them is a mock-up.
Reminders are easy to ignore. A small friend holding up a glass of water is not. Mochi does each break with you, then gets out of the way.

Mochi lifts its bottle and takes a sip with you. Tap “Done” and it cheers.

Arms up, a big stretch. Shoulders, neck and back say thank you.

Mochi closes its eyes — your cue to look at something far away for a moment.

Posture checks, walk breaks, proper breaks and your own reminders — on the schedule you set.
Choose the apps that tend to swallow your time. When you've been in one longer than you meant to, Mochi checks in — kindly, once — and you decide.
Mochi doesn't see websites, tabs or what you watch, and needs no browser extension.
A companion only works if you forget it's there until it matters.
Reminder apps are useful but easy to dismiss. Desktop pets are charming but mostly decorative. Mochi is both.

Yes. Mochi Genie is a native Mac app for macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. There's no iPhone, iPad or Windows version.
We measured 0.12% CPU on average while Mochi floats (Release build, 60 seconds of Mochi floating on screen, MacBook Air (Apple M4), 12 Oct 2026). All the animation runs through macOS's own animation engine, and Mochi stops animating completely when it's hidden or covered by a fullscreen app.
No. While your microphone or camera is in use, or you're in a fullscreen app or video, Mochi holds its reminders and waits. You can also set quiet hours, pause reminders, or hide Mochi from the menu bar.
No. Time awareness is off until you turn it on, and then it only notes which app is in front (for example "Safari") for the apps you chose — never what's inside the app, never websites, tabs or videos. It needs no browser extension. Everything stays on your Mac.
No. It's a one-time payment of $12.99, and Mochi is yours for life (the founder's price; the regular price will be $19.99). That includes all 1.x updates.
Mochi rests until you buy a license. Everything you set up is kept and comes straight back. Nothing is charged automatically — no card is ever asked for during the trial.
Yes — each license works on 2 Macs. Moving to a new Mac? Deactivate the old one in Settings ▸ Pro and activate the new one.
Your license key arrives in your receipt email. In Mochi Genie, open Settings ▸ Pro, paste the key and click Activate. Once activated, it keeps working offline — for life.
